Here are some of the photos we enjoyed taking.

1st Stop: Tall Chief RV Park (an exhausting 4.9 mile excursion from Sammamish)

First test run... only mashed one curb on the 8 roundabouts to and fro.

WAY more clearance for the bikes than I needed. Was NOT easy finding the bike rack and solution for both the Jeep and RV. Velocirax gets mucho kudos!

That little icon in your browser... it's called a "favicon." We chose this one after a 90 second deliberation. Seemed most appropriate on short notice.

Cook's Chasm

Sweet shot by Colby coming back from Thor's Well.

 "Mom, Dad...Smile!" :)

This bluff served as the Cockpit of Commerce for two days (Cape Perpetua).

Cool spot. There is a stretch of Coast Highway that you can park up to 12 hours (even overnight) on any turnoff, so long as there is no sign to indicate otherwise. (This one had good cell service to work from.)

The menu simply said, "Drink 4!"

Bridge from Waldport to Newport.

So many cool spots on the Oregon coast. The kids wanted to fish here, too.

Thor's Well gets the fame (apparently), but Cook's Chasm is the real attraction. Very cool spot. (And one of the best in America to boondock for a night, so we did.) Pro tip: see it at or near high tide, or you'll be underwhelmed.

The new "Cockpit of Commerce" for a week (through Oct. 15th). FULL hookups seem like a real luxury, as does the beach access within range of roughly a pitching wedge. Enjoying the Oregon Coast, and the people here are fabulous! Thanks for making us feel welcome (and, yes, that means you, Michael at #143!) :) Great peeps all around here!

Seal Beach: Kids were pretty disappointed... no seals.

From the lighthouse. Beautiful coastline!

Who invited this guy?

We drove to San Ramon to see my Aunt Judy and my cousin Jeff. The boys had fun with Ashley and Riley.

Fun little side trip to the Mystery Spot.

Literally standing on the wall (with just  one foot) at the Mystery Spot. This place is bizarre.

This was our spot at the Santa Cruz Harbor.

Pleasure Point in Santa Cruz.

Auntie Cortney in 'da House! (Well, actually us in her house.)

Grizzly Giant in Yosemite.

No shuttle? Hike it they said. It'll be fun they said. (They were wrong!)

This tree was as far as we went (it is just barely past Grizzly Giant).

The bottom of Yosemite Falls.

She's gorgeous, isn't she?!

One of the most iconic viewpoints in the country. Such a cool spot.

Guess who's enjoying Yosemite?

Bridal Veil Falls: will you marry me all over again?

The kids enjoying Yosemite.

Half Dome

Mike O'Callaghan-Pat Tilman Memorial Bridge

I usually hear, "Dam Hoover!" The signs are the opposite here.

Who keeps inviting this guy?

Two years earlier and we'd have stormed the place. lol

"Moooooon River!"

The billboards are all sponsored by the Bunny Ranch (Siri didn't mention that part).

She's definitely a firecracker!

Snake Hollow Bike Park at Sunset (Utah).

There are three sections at Snake Hollow. This is what one of those looks like.

Snow Canyon

Petrified Sand Dunes

Zion National Park

The Dinosaur Tracks are here... so they say. It got dark before we confirmed any officially.

This one's for the Dougli! We had to make multiple passes to finally get a good shot.

Round 2 at Lake Mead. Catching the sunrise just over an hour before the market opens.

The Canyon is Grand, indeed!

Every photo looks fake here.

Braden was checking out the other side.

This is why we do this.

"That" guy... again.

The Watch Tower at Desert View.

Another look from Desert View.

Sunset shot of my three favorite peeps!

Look at these posers. lol. This was a family ride that will be tough to top.

Two peas in a pod. Bearizona was fun.

Too late!

Meteor Crater!

This was also at Meteor Crater.

Click on this one to get the panoramic version (the thumbnail is unimpressive).

Ever seen the movie Cars? This is the spot on Route 66.

Tow Mater!

Scott's awesome "Cabin" in Show Low, AZ.

Sunrise in Las Cruces, NM. Not a bad way to start the workday.

White Sands National Park.

Ever gone sledding barefoot the week after Christmas?

I've never done selfies until this trip.

Jeep pic for my own amusement.

That is sand, not snow.

This was our spot in Austin, TX.

For Kirsti and MeWi. KKG at UT Austin.

People ask what my office is like after a long day of driving (if kids sleep over the cab). In that case, I only get one monitor elevated.

The Alamo (The real version was far different than what I had thought.)

Random Bike Park we found while the coach was in service (Seguin, TX).

That's a big Pecan!

RIP JFK

Obviously, it was Colby & Braden, on the Grassy Knoll, in Santa Cruz gear.

More "sea shelling" for Gwen here.

Braden vs. Brady

Keaton Beach (near Perry, FL)

It doesn't look like much, but "3 Nelsons" in Perry, FL has amazing burgers and ice cream.

Ummmm.... Karen would like to speak to your marketing department.

Guess who's thinking about you Jen?

Feb 20, 12:16 am: We are a go for launch. Prepare for road trip in 7 hours.

Feb 20, 12:23 am: One last check before bed. D'oh! That sucks. Reschedule road trip for 5am on President's Day.

Delayed, but we saw (and could feel) the launch.

Space View Park

Mercury Monument

[I was working a lot in Tampa. Insert family photos from other phones here.]

Key West: Two hours in line for a closer pic? I'd rather swim to Cuba.

Meet the southernmost Rooster in the U.S. (at the time of this pic). He kept saying "Cuba-doodle-do."

Over-rated! My Jeep seats tell me the same thing. Lots of brief, flash rains (love it now that I keep the bikini top on the Jeep).

Our "porch" while being in the Keys. (Gwen still organizing her Sanibel shell prizes -- I'll admit, they are impressive shells!)

Sunset from the Keys.

Horrifies me that this same, previous pic (with the kids) was obviously fogged up from my bad breath.

Braden having fun.

Wheeeeee!

Colby's turn.

Nothing but smiles at this place.

The Dolphin Research Center does not disappoint.

Airboat in the Everglades!

"Want to pet him, Colby?"

That escalated quickly!

We made a detour for this pic on our way back.

Day 1 of Junior Sailing at TAYC (Oxford, MD).

90 minutes after that last photo, Gwen dropped her phone at TAYC. We only figured that out after I drove over it.

Cousin Paget getting a photo with Johnnie Depp's lawyer. (TAYC)

Cousin Nicholas sailing with Colby on a 420.

Braden and his cousin Poppy launching their Opti.
